carespace | design strategy
Supporting care givers by integrating self-care into their daily routine.
Carespace is part of the final project for my course Managing Creative Projects and Teams at my program Strategic Design & Management at Parsons School of Design.
Total time for the project : 10 Weeks | Course: Managing Creative Projects & teams | Professor: Edward Cardimona
Initial Scope: In the context of the pandemic, mental health issues have surfaced way stronger than ever. People across ages, caste, color, creed, etc., have come up with the need for help.
Interestingly, mental health is also currently max funded in the US ~5B in the US.
The idea of this project is to identify key challenges in the mental health-care system and explore if there is a need within the journey/experience of the users/caregivers that can be satisfied through technology (healthtech).
Eventually two teams were merged right in the middle of the project. This was done to manage conflicts as well as drive a project with a new team. The other team was working on researching about caregivers. We mashed up these two initial concepts to create something for the caregivers which can help them with their mental health.
